Teen Bra
Once a young girl reaches puberty, she starts developing breasts. By tradition, wearing a brassiere symbolizes a young girl’s coming of age, one of the proofs that signify that she has become a young woman.
A teen before bra-wearing age often anticipates that exciting and inspiring moment of the first bra-shopping. Bras for teens are a good idea especially when the girl moves around a lot. A teen bra provides comfort, support and protection to the breast tissue. Teen bras also smoothen a girl’s figure and makes her feel less exposed when she’s wearing light clothes.
Bras can be difficult to adjust as they can ride up, dig in your skin, peek out of your clothes and the straps can slide off the shoulders. Wearing your first bra may give you a strange feeling, but you will soon get used to it.

For your first bra, it’s good to get a teen training bra to be at ease with the idea of having it on. There are many varieties of bras for teens, and you should choose one that is most comfortable to wear. There are tops with a sort of built-in bra so that you do not need to buy a teen bra at first. Teen sport bras are comfortable because they hold the breasts firmly and don’t dig into your skin. Under-wired teen bras are good for girls with large breasts to provide more support.
As the saying goes, if you’ve got it, flaunt it! You can go for the very feminine and stylish look. Maidenform bras for teens give that smooth silhouette and they do well to accentuate a girl’s figure. A teen push-up bra enhances breasts for a fuller look.
After deciding on the style you want, you need to know your measurements. It could be embarrassing, but it’s a good idea to be measured for your teen bra by the sales woman in the bra department or by your mother. Here’s how you measure your size. First, use a measuring tape to measure around your body, beneath your breasts. Add 4 or 5 inches to this number to bring it up to an even-numbered measurement. This is your chest size. For the cup size, measure the fullest part of your breast, usually at the level of the nipples. Now subtract your chest size from the cup size. If the difference is up to 1 /2 inch, then your cup size is an AA. A measurement of 1 /2 inch to 1 inch indicates an A cup, 1 to 2 inches a B cup, 2 to 3 inches a C cup, 3 to 4 inches a D cup, and 4 to 5 inches a DD or E cup. Bra size for teens may vary and change as you grow.
Getting your first bra is one of the most exciting and enjoyable experiences when you grow up. You can mix and match your undergarments and try on different styles, such as multiway, halterneck, strapless, laced, ruffled and more! Be glad that you’re growing up into a woman now.
