Bra Materials
As with any outfit or piece of clothing, bras are made with a lot of different fabrics that may be used for different purposes. Bra materials come in a very wide array of choices and textures and each type of fabric has its own pros and cons. Manufacturers go through a lot of research before they settle on a certain type of fabric for a certain line of bras and this research often pays off when the bras made from the bra materials they use become a hit with consumers.
Among the materials that bra manufacturers often use, the most common would probably be the more comfortable materials like cotton and the more breathable fabrics like the new micro fiber cloths. While these types of materials may be very comfortable to the wearer, they don't actually promote a feeling of sensuality that some women wish to get from their bras and panties.

This is where the lace bra and the satin bra come in. While lace is in no way a comfortable piece of fabric and may even be called rather itchy at times, it does promote romance and sensuality with its very intricate and fine design lines. Satin on the other hand is a very glossy and shimmering material that is extremely sexy to look at when used for lingerie purposes. These two materials are just a couple of the rather sensual looking and feeling fabrics used for bras and panties.
Other materials that manufacturers may use in creating bras and panties include the rather old fashioned nylon and polyester fabrics. These are also shimmering kinds of fabric, although they are not as comfortable as their satin counterparts. There are also bras made of silk. These bras are often more expensive than the others simply because silk is a very expensive kind of cloth. While these kinds of fabrics are not the stretchable kinds, there are manufacturers that do create lingerie that hug the body. These are often made of synthetic fabrics like Lycra and spandex and are often combined with other materials to give the underwear that wonderfully sexy yet fitted look.
Whatever the kind of material, women will always try to find bras that appeal to their sense of style and need for comfort. This means that no matter what fabrics that manufacturers use, as long as they are comfortable enough, they can be used for manufacturing bras.
